Joshua Aaron Wilkerson

Josh was our youngest son, he was 18 years old, and a senior in high school at the time of his death.  A classmate asked him for a ride home. Instead Josh coming home from school that day, we ended up with an autopsy report; Manner of Death: Abdomen Trauma, Head Trauma and Strangulation. His body was also set on fire after his death. He was tortured by a classmate that was in the United States illegally. This killer was brought to the U. S. by his parents from Belize. They were all Visa Overstays. His killer was convicted of first degree murder and sentenced to life. He has to serve 30 years before he is eligible for parole in Texas.

Josh was an incredible young man with dreams and aspirations for his life. He talked about joining the United States Air Force, following in his brother's footsteps. Josh was kind and compassionate. He had his own convictions and called Jesus his Lord and Savior. He was a blessing to our family. We know that he is home with the Lord; however, those of us left to mourn him are forever changed. We will continue to have a gaping hole in our souls until we are called home. This is a devastating blow to our family, extended family, friends and our community. He will be forever missed.

Psalms 3:5-6 "Trust in the Lord with all of your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in ALL your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight."
